With a current staff size of around 200, Ground schedules and deploys engineers, inspectors and technicians to job sites throughout the Rocky Mountain Region to test the soil and environment to ensure construction sites are safe and stable to build. Because the company is over 30 years old, many of their processes were out of date and paper based resulting in scheduling headaches, long response times to customers and possible inaccurate results which could result in high-risk law suits.
Notion One rolled up their sleeves to develop a complete end-to-end workflow system for Ground Engineering that included a scheduling system for technicians, mobile app for technicians to use in the field and the most impactful functionality is the ability for technicians to perform complex soil evaluations with a sophisticated calculator. This project continues today with the addition of new tools such as a client portal and additional mobile tools for the field technicians.
